In order to survive against the chains local businesses are increasingly finding they need to work together, putting aside the natural urge to compete. When businesses work together everyone benefits, the businesses themselves as well as the communities they serve.

Members of the public, as well as shopping locally on the day can also get involved by posting a photo of themselves holding our poster on social media using the #SLSelfie hashtag or putting the sign up in their window.
Shop Local Saturday is part of a year round campaign to encourage people to vote with their wallets and “Shop Local”.
