The draft Local Development Strategies of the four Cornish Local Action Groups are now OUT for consultation.
The document for the area which includes St Austell has some priorities for funding which might be of interest including town centre revitalisation, small business support, business start-up and working with young people in deprived areas. There is a need to think about how best to tap in to the funding which will be linked to these priorities.
The timetable for feedback and comments is extremely tight – Responses on the draft documents need to be made by close of play on Monday 4 August 2014.
The strategies are available to download from the Local Action website www.localactioncornwall.info Each Local Action Group will have several million pounds of investment 2015 – 2020.
Discussions have been held the length and breadth of Cornwall – talking to residents and businesses to understand more about the economic issues facing them, and the opportunities the CLLD and LEADER delivery method offers. Much material has been collated, and views expressed.
