Nepalese Evening at the Gurkha

97 people attended the Water Aid charity event on the 3rd Novemebr at the Gurkha Restaurant including the Mayor of St. Austell Mr. Steve Double. Everyone enjoyed a lovely three course Nepalese buffet and traditional entertainment from Neapalese dancers. As it was also to celebrate Diwali the Festival of Light there were candles and a sacred in the form of Matilda a beautiful creation kindley lent for the evening from the Cow Lady, Nicky Harwood of Jelly Pebbles, Liskeard.

There was a special raffle on the night with prizes donated from:

£25 voucher from Powercutz hair

PC/Laptop clean and service from Easy PC

A Cornwall Rugby teddy from Trelawny's Army Supporters club

A meal for two at the Gurkha.

A months free parking at White River Place.

A family ticket for the Eden Project

A free M.O.T. at Hawkins Motors

A round of golf for four at St. Austell Golf Club

A fantastic £780 was raised on the evening taking the total raised so far to an amazing £2,280
