On Friday 21st this month, the Chamber is to pioneer a unique first in business networking events for the St. Austell Bay business community. To be known as the Chamber’s Crunchy Breakfasts these informative and sociable meetings will have a special guest speaker at each event to stimulate ‘crunchy’ questions and ‘crisp’ debate.
Organised by Jacky Swain of Commercial Estates Group, the first Crunchy Breakfast “Befitting the relaxed welcome we want to be the signature style of these events to come will be held on the beach” she said. “We want people who are normally shy of networking to feel at ease and feel welcome reflecting the general ambience we intend the future Carlyon Beach development to embrace.”
With guest speaker Steve Double, Conservative MP for St. Austell and Newquay, whose topic will be “How the government is helping commerce” it’s sure to be an out-of-the-ordinary start to a Friday morning. Business talk, politics and sand between the toes accompanied by delicious Breakfast Baps cooked up by the guys at Sam’s, it’s a meeting likely to make for some stimulating and topical discussion.
The meeting will also give local businesses an opportunity to showcase themselves, to connect with other local businesses and forge contacts. The Chamber’s aim is to encourage a networking culture thereby improving communication and co-operation between local businesses.
